Hydraulic cylinder repair bench in a workshop

Why this repair bench?

One person, less than an hour

One mechanic dismantles and assembles even very large cylinders. With the wireless remote control he slides the piston with new seals back into the cylinder.

Safe and clean working

No protruding parts, no rails or hoses on the floor and everything at one working height. A full-length drip tray drains residual oil to the waste oil reservoir.

Powerful nut breaker

Loosens or tightens the piston nut continuously at 65,000 or 135,000 Nm, without pins to reposition. Can be turned on a turntable for left- or right-hand rotation.

Pressure test and test report

Pressure test up to 280 or 350 bar, with pressure intensifier up to 500 bar. With laser stroke measurement, automatic multi-point tests and measurement of piston drift, recorded in a digital test report.

Tightening to the right torque

Nuts are retightened with the same tool, to the torque specified by the manufacturer. You set this in advance on the 12" touchscreen.

Clean oil

Filtration (3 µm circulation, 10 µm system) and heating are standard; oil monitoring from MP Filtri, or optionally Hydac, keeps an eye on the oil condition.

Modular and length to choose

Bench lengths from 9 to 20 m, depending on your cylinders. Tools on rollers, easy to move and set to the cylinder diameter; inserts can be made to measure.

Remote support

Via LAN, Wi-Fi or GSM we look along with the control remotely and usually solve faults straight away.

How it works

Dismantling
Step 1

Dismantling

The cylinder is clamped on the bench. The nut breaker loosens the piston nut and the piston rod is pulled out with up to 7 tonnes.

Mounting
Step 2

Mounting

With the wireless remote control one person slides the piston with new seals back in. The nut is tightened to the specified torque.

Testing
Step 3

Testing

The cylinder is pressure tested: visually or digitally with stroke and drift measurement and a test report, depending on the version. The bench then presses the test oil out of the cylinder.

Versions

Three versions, in different lengths and with options for pump and test pressure. Special versions are possible.

Micron Standard Duty

Standard Duty

Nut breaker 65,000 Nm · bench 9, 11 or 13 m

For cylinders from construction and small to medium-sized earthmoving and mining machines. Cylinder diameter 100 – 450 mm, closed length up to approx. 5.2 m, 5 tonnes extraction force.

Micron Heavy Duty

Heavy Duty

Nut breaker 135,000 Nm · bench 13, 15 or 20 m

For the largest mining and earthmoving cylinders on the market. Cylinder diameter 100 – 600 mm, closed length up to approx. 8 m, 8 tonnes extraction force.

Micron Ultra Duty

Ultra Duty

Tailored to your cylinders

For the very largest hydraulic cylinders, from the steel industry, oil and gas and flood defences. Specifications on request.

Testing only?

For those who do not (yet) need a complete repair bench, there are also separate test units.

Micron modular test bench

Modular test bench

Can later be expanded into a full repair bench

A stripped-down version of the repair bench with all test and control functions, including laser stroke measurement and automatic multi-point tests.

Micron separate test unit STC-300

Separate test unit STC-300

Mobile, with digital data logging

Quickly test whether the seals of a cylinder are leaking (bypass), so that no defective cylinders go back into the field. With test report as PDF or on paper.

From advice to service

BRAND TS does not just supply the repair bench, but supports you from selection to daily use.

Advice and configuration

Together we determine which version, length and options suit your cylinders and your workshop. Special versions are possible.

Installation and commissioning

We install the bench in your workshop, connect it and commission it together with you.

Instruction and training

Your mechanics learn to use the bench safely and efficiently: from dismantling and assembly to pressure test and test report.

Custom tools

The standard tool package fits virtually any cylinder. For special cylinders we make custom inserts.

Remote support

Via LAN, Wi-Fi or GSM we look along with the control, so that faults are quickly traced and solved.

Service and maintenance

Periodic inspection and maintenance, so the bench keeps working reliably.
