The Digi-Pas DWL-5000XY is a 2-axis inclination sensor module with an accuracy of 0.01° (180 µm/m or 36 arcseconds), designed to be built into a machine, installation or structure for real-time monitoring of levelling, angle and vibration. The module uses thermally compensated MEMS sensor technology, is IP65 certified and shock resistant (3,000 – 6,000 g). Via the Control Box you connect up to four modules and read them via USB, RS232, RS485 or Bluetooth, with the PC Sync software or with your own software via the Digi-Pas DLL.
- 2D measurement over a wide angle range: ±90° (1-axis) and ±15° (2-axis)
- Real-time angle and vibration measurement, with a response time of 100 ms
- IP65 waterproof and shock resistant up to 3,000 – 6,000 g
- Programmable system: via the Control Box and PC Sync software without programming of your own
- Multiple protocols: USB, RS232, RS485 and (optional) Bluetooth
- Accuracy verified by accredited bodies, traceable to SI, NIST, JIS, UKAS and DIN
Applications

Cranes and offshore platforms
Built into offshore platforms and heavy mobile cranes for continuous monitoring of the inclination angle relative to the crane position.

Autonomous vehicles
Part of the control system of self-driving cars to detect the attitude of the vehicle.

Submarines
Built into commercial deep-sea submarines as an aid to manoeuvring and steering.

Optical measuring machines
Installing and adjusting vision measuring equipment: levelling and checking positional stability for sharp images and reliable measurements.

Robots and automation
Critical processes in factory automation, such as welding angles of robots, robot arms and precision manipulators.

Solar trackers
Installing and maintaining solar trackers, so that the panels face the sun optimally on two axes.

Laboratories
Levelling precision instruments in research laboratories.

Large-format printers
Production, installation and preventive maintenance of industrial large-format printers.

CT and MRI scanners
Levelling and vibration measurement for a stable, sharp image in CT and MRI scanners.

Precision fixtures
Aligning precision fixtures where absolute levelling and positional accuracy are needed to meet tight tolerances.

Software & apps

PC Sync software for sensor modules
Windows (PC)
Plug-and-play interface that lets you read up to four sensor modules remotely via the Control Box, set parameters, log measurements (export to Excel) and control relay outputs for external equipment — without programming. Experienced users can also include the Digi-Pas DLL (Dynamic-Link Library) in their own software.
